How much does it cost to send a parcel abroad?
The price depends on:

Destination. Europe usually costs less than the Caribbean, the USA or Africa.

Weight or size, whichever is higher. Couriers compare the actual weight with the volumetric weight (length × width × height in cm ÷ 5,000) and charge for the higher one. A 45 × 45 × 45 cm box counts as 18.2 kg even if it weighs less.

Speed. Express costs more than economy.

Extras. Insurance and signature on delivery are optional.
How to pack a parcel for international shipping

Use a new, double-walled cardboard box. Old boxes lose strength.

Wrap each item and fill the gaps so nothing moves when you shake the box.

Seal every seam with strong parcel tape. Don't use string or paper over the box.

Remove old labels and barcodes, and attach the new label to the largest flat side.

Put a copy of the delivery address inside the box too.
